I'll go ahead and second that ... I recently switched over to using the
repo.psand.net repository for util-vserver and more recent debian based
vserver kernels and I've been very pleased with the decision. The
change wasn't completely seamless in my environment mainly due to the
fact that I was using /vservers instead of /var/lib/vservers. There
were many things that were broken with 'newvserver' that I had to fix
in a post install script. Now, using just the util-vserver tools I
don't have any of those issues after building new vservers.

ii linux-image-2.6.26-2-vserver-686-bigmem 2.6.26-21lenny4
ii util-vserver 0.30.216~r2772-6
ii vserver-debiantools 0.6.3
Anyone have ideas what's wrong?
- get a more recent kernel (e.g. 2.6.33.x)
- get more recent util-vserver (e.g. 0.30.216-pre2882)
- avoid using vserver-debiantools
why, because the abovementioned versions are broken
and not supported (at least not by Linux-VServer :)
