Hi Folks,
hope you all had some nice holidays...
I used them to pull up some of my servers and now stuck with a problem.
I have one guest, gentoo host / gentoo guest which was running for about
2 years now. I initially just updated some applications in it but than
had to pull up the baselayout du to changed libraries.
Now I face the problem that init is not running through, here is what I
see after a "vserver test start, vserver test enter"
test / # ps ax
PID TTY STAT TIME COMMAND
1 ? S 0:00 init boot
8571 ? Ss 0:00 init boot
8572 ? S 0:00 /bin/bash /sbin/rc sysinit
8719 pts/0 S+ 0:00 login
8743 pts/1 Ss 0:00 /bin/bash -login
8751 pts/1 R+ 0:00 ps ax
The inittab looks good:
# Default runlevel
id:3:initdefault:
# System initialization, mount local filesystems, etc
si::sysinit:/sbin/rc sysinit
# Further system initialization, brings up the boot runlevel.
rc::bootwait:/sbin/rc boot
l0:0:wait:/sbin/rc shutdown
l1:S1:wait:/sbin/rc single
l2:2:wait:/sbin/rc nonetwork
l3:3:wait:/sbin/rc default
l4:4:wait:/sbin/rc default
l5:5:wait:/sbin/rc default
l6:6:wait:/sbin/rc reboot
#z6:6:respawn:/sbin/sulogin
# What to do at the "Three Finger Salute".
ca:12345:ctrlaltdel:/sbin/shutdown -r now
Any ideas how to locate the problem here ?
Oliver
