shellmod is part of the linuxconf-lib and linuxconf-utils package. They should
be in debian.

the newvserver utility has always relied on shellmod to operate. shellmod
is a solution to write UI application (text and graphical) using bash. So
looking at newvserver source, you will see only simple bash stuff.
