Well, as other have commented, 5.10 also had 2y when released, before
some of the big guns stepped in.

I think that is a rushed conclusion before one has any statements on
prospects to make it also work also on 5.15.
I believe that while others focus mostly on servers, there are also
other use-cases that is desired to cover, in which support from new(er)
hardware is very important. Starting off on 5.10 today then does not
seem like an ideal plan in that context.
