i had no problem patching and testing 3.10.65 and am running it currently.
well, it didn't patch perfectly (offsets, even fuzzing, but no rejects except
for the as-always Makefile), but no worse than 3.14.29.
it was released at the same time as 3.14.29 (see below), so i don't believe
it was "too new" for your package updates.
i'm curious why.
