I feel your pain. The last two weeks have been a fiasco.

A LV host that had been running flawlessly for 2+ years suddenly went
read-only fs. Wouldn't come up at all. (Looks like the RAID failed --
they are still testing/researching.) Build a LV host on their backup
hardware (untested) build the guests from backups and memory. It went
for about a week then it went read-only fs.
   Copied as many of the guests to my personal host as we could before
it crashed. Rebuilt the rest from backup data.

I'm hoping they will let me build more robust fail-over systems.
