How does your scaling work if some 10 cubic microns want
an IPv6 address? While you've been throwing around those
/48 at anyone who wanted one, for decades?
According to

the IPv6 has *effectively* only 16*10^6 to 17*10^9
more space than IPv4, using today's assumptions.
Of course today's assumptions won't hold.
