To make these two systems the same I reverted this broken systems back

I also installed the kernel I compiled and on the working system to the
broken system (2.6.29.6) and this seems to have solved my problems. I'm
not real happy about having to back out to older versions but I needed
the quickest solution possible. Thanks for your comments.
