if the patch above fails for that one, you might
ask Daniel nicely to update the patch once again

get the source (wget, curl, etc ...), apply the patch
with patch (e.g. cd /path/to/source; patch -p1 </path/to/patch),
configure, compile, install (you might do all that in an
RPM spec file, to get a proper package too)
