[vserver] tickless and raid over ethernet

has anyone messed with the new kernel tickless option? does it affect/help
vserver performance?

also, has anyone experience with doing a raid1 or some type of partition
mirroring between machines via private ethernet? i am interested in
developing some kind of simple 'clustering' using 2 machines similar to what
cobalt does using adventurine but for linux-vserver rather than openvz that
would maintain both sets of drives in sync at all times and be able to
failover within seconds. LVS would work using a separate director box, but
that gets me into 3 machines and a bit of clumsiness i would prefer not to
have.
