Hi,
Good news for Linux-VServers under Ubuntu.
Just to mention that efforts are in the way to publish vserver kernel
into universe, by integrating the automatic kernel build of Ubuntu, the
same way as Xen does. I talked to Ben Collin from Canonical at the last
UDS in Boston, which is the manager of the kernel team for Ubuntu, and
he was very open to that.
Ubuntu Hardy will ship 2.6.24 kernel, and it would make sens to ship
vserver kernel with that version. I would like to know if it will be
possible to do it this time, but also in general. Approximately, when
does the patch for 2.6.24 may be ready? Is there any hard issues that
comes ahead for 2.6.24?
So, let's stay tuned.
Have a nice day,
