That one brought the eth1 interface up. Thanks, Markus!
Something strange is still going on, though:
connection works for a while, then gets droppen.
eugen@nitrogen:~$ Read from remote host 10.0.0.7: Connection reset by peer
Connection to 10.0.0.7 closed.
eugen@oxygen:~$ ssh -l eugen 10.0.0.7
ssh: connect to host 10.0.0.7 port 22: Connection refused
Reconnect is no longer possible. Ping is very high (this
is all on the same switch).
eugen@oxygen:~$ ping 10.0.0.7
PING 10.0.0.7 (10.0.0.7) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 10.0.0.7: icmp_seq=1 ttl=30 time=36.9 ms
64 bytes from 10.0.0.7: icmp_seq=2 ttl=30 time=36.7 ms
...ah, it's the Tyan IPMI module. It's colliding with the
10.0.0.7 address. I've set eth1 to a different address,
and now all is working.
Thanks again!
