well, I guess no, the 'feature' was removed
before vs2.0 was released because it caused
too much confusion, but of course, this might
be an issue for correct accounting, if there
are files which are _not_ unified but also
_not_ tagged properly ...

I will revive this feature and make it a
compile time config option in the next devel
release ...
