interesting, could you retry with a recent
version (e.g. 2.6.14.3-vs2.0.1-rc4) and if that
doesn't work for you, with ext2 or ext3 (reiser
isn't that much tested)?

in any case, I will investigate this but some
feedback might be very helpful ...
