depending on the initstyle (you might play with that one,
e.g. plain, sysv) this might be perfectly fine ...

check if any service inside the guest is enabled and
keeps running after startup, because when the last
process inside the guest dies, the context is disposed
which leads to a 'stopped' guest ...
(use vtop, vps or vserver-stat to diagnose this)
