Thanks for your clear info! This also confirms my doubt that I CAN use
the kernel sources from http://linux-vserver.derjohn.de/ (as you can see
I'm learning :) )
Later on, I will compile the kernel for my specific cpu the way you

I think I'm getting to understand what steps to take and especially why.

What I am going to do now:

1. Install the new kernel from http://linux-vserver.derjohn.de/
(shouldn't be that hard ;) )
2. Get the util-vserver sources
3. Patch them with fix02
4. ./configure them (should I fix the path and/or prefix?)
5. Done?
