that is pretty simple as long as you do not want to change
any ip on that device ... just set an ip for it (the
base device) and specify that ip to the vserver without
any device or alias information ...

the vserver will assume that the ip/device already exists,
and therefore not create (or remove on shutdown) any alias
or base ip, and you can use that inside the vserver as usual

be aware that you can not send data through tun/tap without
an userspace application listening to that device ...
(UML is such a userspace application ;)
