Err, I was talking about in the guest...

From a user's perspective, I tend to agree.. I think what was being
discussed was the possibility of having a package which would take care
of disabling klogd, or just having a fake package to satisfy the
linux-kernel-logger or whatever dependency. By doing that you could set
up a list of packages to install which wouldn't require such additional
guest-system configuration.
