Hello,
I downloaded the src rpm, installed the tools such as
gcc etc. to get it compiled, and the httpd daemon is
still dying if the php package is installed.
1. I downloaded the latest RH 9 kernel header RPMs,
which is glibc-kernheaders-2.4-8.10. Do I need to
remove this, and download the generic 2.4.25 headers
instead, and recompile? The kernel I am running is
2.4.25-vs1.26.
2. I'm not sure of the syntax for the "ip -6"
command. "ip addr" shows:

To my (uninformed) eye, it looks like there is no ipv6
"contamination".
