yes regarding core functionality (you can set flags for 2.4 kernels), no
regarding CLI. See [1].
A backport from alpha into stable will be very difficultly as new 'setattr'
uses library-functions which must be ported also. Additionally, 'setattr'
is built in a special way because it belongs to the showattr/lsxid/chxid
tool-family which shares lots of code.
