well, yes ...
the tools are buggy ... they try to deduce the
HZ value from observing the /proc/interrupt
values ... (which is just plain stupid), and
so they fail from time to time ...
possible reasons:
- system was booted recently
- variable HZ values (powersaving/APM)
- different default HZ (2.6 kernel)
- your explanation here ...
vs1.22 does not include/do any uptime virtualization
so the 'vserver' aspect isn't relevant here, and
updating the (old/broken) tools (psutils) to a
more sane version works ...
