Hello!

Thanks for the replay, i really happy that my configuration isn't so
unusual as i was thought :-)

You did patched cpanel or use it without modifications inside vserver?
Just now i see problems with some daemons inside my configuration,
for example proftpd continuously connecting to 127.0.0.1:

Mar 24 01:49:36 host1 proftpd[3548]: host1.ABC.com (localhost[127.0.0.1]) - FTP session opened.
Mar 24 01:49:36 host1 proftpd[3548]: host1.ABC.com (localhost[127.0.0.1]) - FTP session closed.
Mar 24 02:02:56 host1 proftpd[3628]: host1.ABC.com (localhost[127.0.0.1]) - FTP no transfer timeout, disconnected
Mar 24 02:02:56 host1 proftpd[3628]: host1.ABC.com (localhost[127.0.0.1]) - FTP session closed.
Mar 24 02:06:16 host1 proftpd[3696]: host1.ABC.com (localhost[127.0.0.1]) - FTP session opened.

But i've added to /etc/hosts, to main dns zone -> localhost=10.10.10.55,
as it is my dummy iface instead of "lo". Me doesn't like this :)
Maybe you people can provide some advanced hints about handling with "lo"
iface and some stupid programs hardly assigned localhost=127.0.0.1.
(as for sendmail was disccused here not long ago)

This part is mostly for Herbert :)

And sure i'm the person wanted to have personal "lo" iface inside
each vserver, as it would stop there perversions with dummy ifcace :)

JG> CPanel works extremely well within a vserver (see
JG> http://liquidweb.com/shared/index.htm.) A few hundred customers and I

JG> production environment. Your configuration below sounds adequate.
