Like that:
open("/dev/hda", O_RDONLY|O_NONBLOCK) = 3
ioctl(3, 0x30d, 0x8051a80) = 0
ioctl(3, 0x30d, 0x8051a80) = 0

Hmm, I'm not sure if you're kidding or just making fun of me?
lm_sensors is a big set of drivers, that live in kernel-space and expose
i2c bus to userspace. So you need to patch your kernel.
mbmon works by using some exotic (at least for me) iopl calls, and works
on generic kernels:
mbmon
Temp.= 24.0, 34.0, 19.0; Rot.= 0, 0, 0
Vcore = 1.62, 2.50; Volt. = 3.30, 4.97, 11.80, -11.96, -1.59
it's time for EOT. bye bye.
