Hi,
I tried installing ftp server inside vserver, and here's the effect:
vserver:/usr/share/doc/proftpd-doc# telnet localhost 21
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 ProFTPD 1.2.8 Server (Debian) [vserver.domain.net]
quit
221 Goodbye.
Connection closed by foreign host.
Well... seems to work ok.... but...:
vserver:/usr/share/doc/proftpd-doc# telnet vserver.domain.net 21
Trying 212.182.25.15...
Connected to vserver.domain.net.
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.
And there's very strange logfile:
Jul 06 08:00:20 vserver proftpd[26460] vserver.domain.net
(localhost[127.0.0.1]): FTP session opened.
Jul 06 08:00:22 vserver proftpd[26460] vserver.domain.net
(localhost[127.0.0.1]): FTP session closed.
that seems ok, but:
Jul 06 08:00:29 vserver proftpd[26464] vserver.domain.net
(vserver.domain.net[212.182.25.15]): Failed binding to 212.182.25.15,
port 0: Cannot assign requested address
Jul 06 08:00:29 vserver proftpd[26464] vserver.domain.net
(vserver.domain.net[212.182.25.15]): Check the ServerType directive to
ensure you are configured correctly.
Jul 06 08:00:29 vserver proftpd[26464] vserver.domain.net
(vserver.domain.net[212.182.25.15]): FTP session closed.
What might be the problem?
