Thanks Nuno (and the others that offered similar answers). This is as I
hoped. I do kind of like Erik Smit's idea of doing it on a real device.
This would make moving to other hardware - dedicated or vserver - much
easier for those not-needed-by-the-outside-world services. I'll leave the
DNAT/SNAT stuff for a time when my brain is less full to absorb those
ideas.
