That loud sound you heard this morning was my slapping myself against the
forehead. The second NICs mask was incorrect. I took the default of no
value when I configured it using Linuxconf which set it to 255.0.0.0 and
since both IP ranges started with 66 it must have over-ridden the default.
   Regardless of the actual cause at this point I'm a really happy camper.

Thanks for making me think! As I was deciding what I should collect and
present I kept looking at ifconfig, route, and netstat output and each
time missing the connection and the obviously wrong broadcast value
(66.255.255.255).

Again thanks for the motivation.
