i tried your kernel but got the same errors as i got with my patched
redhat kernel, only the orginal vserver kernel (kernel-2.4.20ctx-16) works
so far.

with your kernel:

[root_at_testserver /]# vserver server2 start
Starting the virtual server server2
Server server2 is not running
broadcast: Unknown host
SIOCSIFADDR: Invalid argument
ipv4root is now 172.23.2.21
Host name is now server2.xxxxxxxxx.com
New security context is 7
Starting system logger: [ OK ]
Starting kernel logger: [ OK ]
Starting sshd: [ OK ]
Starting console mouse services: (no mouse is configured)
Starting crond: [ OK ]
Starting webmin: kill 15209: No such process
Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/lib/mysql
                                                           [ OK ]
[root_at_testserver /]#

with kernel-2.4.20ctx-16

[root_at_testserver root]# vserver server2 start
Starting the virtual server server2
Server server2 is not running
ipv4root is now 172.23.2.21
Host name is now server2.xxxxxxxxxx.com
New security context is 3
Starting system logger: [ OK ]
Starting kernel logger: [ OK ]
Starting sshd: [ OK ]
Starting console mouse services: (no mouse is configured)
Starting crond: [ OK ]
Starting webmin: kill 1157: No such process
Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/lib/mysql
                                                           [ OK ]
[root_at_testserver root]#

the problem is that i need (wanna) use the stock redhat kernel,
with ctx and mppe patched into the kernel.

but no luck so far.

does anyone have a hint?

best regards
Wolfgang Rest
