Ok since my first post wasn't very appreciated or something so here is
a list with the absolutely bare minimum for RH 8 to install a virtual
server that boots and run. This will give you a system that boots up
and that you can do ls in and that is about it. :P

Note the absence of rpm, vi, ftp, wget etc.

The system boots and runs. One error message when it boots
/etc/rc3.d/S56xinted: line 35: [: =: unary operator expected
But besides that everything else works.

It might be possible to make it little more smaller BUT then you will
get a system so crippled that it pretty much will be unusable IMHO.
