Hi guys,

When I don't set an IP for my vserver, because I want the services to
run on the same IP as the interface I specify as the IPROOT, then I get
this error message (taken when vserver vserver-name start - was run with
-x):

+ eval ADDR=eth0 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 BCAST=192.168.1.255
++ ADDR=eth0
++ NETMASK=255.255.255.0
++ BCAST=192.168.1.255
+ IPROOTMASK=255.255.255.0
+ IPROOTBCAST=192.168.1.255
+ /sbin/ifconfig eth0:rh80 eth0 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast
192.168.1.255
eth0: Unknown host
ifconfig: `--help' gives usage information.

that obviously goes wrong, as I have not defined an IP for my vserver.
shouldn't the script check for this - before trying to set up the
interface? No IP given - no interface set?

And now we're on the subject - are there any security issues in running
my vserver on the same IP/interface as my main server? I know it gets
harder to exclude them based on iptables rules and etc. but when I don't
need that, I shouldn't have to setup rewrite rules for my vserver
services to be available.
